“Returning home for lockdown, the first few weeks went well until my mother, 91, suddenly developed a sharp pain in her hip. Even though an ambulance crew found nothing was broken, she could not get downstairs. She ended up confined to her bedroom for 5 weeks. During that time we realised we had to get a stairlift.
